About Summiteer

25th March 2010

The first ascent of Spring and, to be honest, nothing much on offer other than peace and quiet....

Roadside parking at 17:25, no leaves on the tree yet.

The Others

Half-way up and the only other two people I saw are coming up behind me. Normally I do not allow overtaking, but I wanted as much of the summit to myself as possible, so I let them pass.

Pendle Ascent

The Bus

The bus passing the tree where I parked. That's Upper Black Moss Reservoir further away.

The Summit of Pendle

The Summit Plateau

The others have moved on and there's nobody else around to disturb the peace and quiet. Never any threat of a sunset tonight.

The Trig

On the left is Ingleborough and on the right is Pen-Y-Ghent.
